How to play iTunes, iPhone, iPad music on Nexus 7 or android via AirPlay


Do you have all of your music collection on your iTunes running on PC or Mac? Do you have audio songs in iPad or iPhone? How can you listen to the same songs on your android tablet like Nexus 7 or android phone via AirPlay?

If you have your music in iTunes or iOS devices like iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, you can listen to the songs in the backyard or in the other room on your android phone like Samsung Galaxy S2, S3 etc.
As you know, you can play music from iTunes or iOS devices to other Apple devices like Apple TV, AirPort Express etc using AirPlay. You can select the device you want the music play on in any room using Air Play wirelessly.
There are couple of android apps available to listen iTunes songs on your android device for free. You don’t need transfer iTunes music to android device just for listening audio songs.

1. Android HiFiAndroid HiFi is a free android app available from Google Play Store. You can stream audio to android devices like Nexus 7 or android phones like Galaxy S2, S3, HTC One X, Droid Razr etc. This app makes your android device as Air Play receiver.
You can play audio from iTunes or iOS devices. It does not support video playback. It has couple of extra features including auto muting when you get a phone call, adjust audio playback delay to keep audio in sync.
Just select Android-HiFi as AirPlay receiver in iTunes or iOS. Both iTunes or iOS and android device need to be connected to same WiFi connection. It runs in the background so it will be available to play music always.
2.AirBubbleAirBubble is also Air Play audio receiver for playing music on android devices from AirPlay clients like iTunes, iOS devices, AirFoil. This app works for 30 mins for free. If you want to use it for more than 30 mins, you need to buy AirBubble License for $2. This app also runs in the background.
It has couple of options including starting the service when android is rebooted, keeping screen turn on etc. It does not work with Mac OS X, Linux or Google TV.
You can use iTunes Remote to control itunes remotely. You don’t need to go to the computer to change a song etc.
If you have Bluetooth speaker or adapter, you can play & control iTunes music wirelessly from your android device.
